Do I have to give up coffee?

Ideally, yes, temporarily. For the strongest detox effect, we reduce or eliminate coffee for several days. But if that feels overwhelming, you can reduce to one cup daily, switch to half-caff, and continue your lemon shooters and liver support. You'll still benefit. Progress over perfection.

Can I do this if I'm on medication?

In most cases, yes. This is a whole-food, moderate-fat, protein-focused plan — not classic high-fat keto and not a starvation cleanse. If you're on thyroid, blood sugar, blood pressure, or hormone medication, please inform your physician. Supporting liver function may improve metabolic markers, and adjustments may occasionally be needed.

What if I don't need to lose weight?

That's perfectly fine! The primary goal of this reset is improved metabolic resilience — better hormone balance, estrogen clearance, sleep, gut health, and reduced inflammation. Weight loss may happen, but it's not the only measure of success.

Do I have to buy supplements?

No. You are not required to purchase supplements. We'll discuss strategies often used in functional nutrition approaches so you understand your options — but education comes first. Always.

How often should I do a detox like this?

At a minimum, twice per year. Spring and autumn are ideal. If you have higher toxin exposure due to occupation, alcohol intake, or lifestyle factors, quarterly resets may be beneficial. This is about strategic resets—not constant restrictions.

I'm past menopause — is this still relevant?

Absolutely. Your liver needs to function well at every age. Whether you're in your 30s, perimenopause, post-menopause, or beyond, liver detox pathways matter for your health, energy, and hormone balance.
